So I'm sure we've all heard of Audiovox, right? Maybe you have and you just don't know it... Audiovox is is the company in charge of Energizer batteries, RCA home electronics, Jensen car audio, and much more!!
They are one of the leading makers of electronics (in my eyes) so of course I was excited to be given the opportunity to review one of their great portable DVD players.

I was sent the "D1788PK" Portable DVD player and I must say, it has definitely been a lifesaver!
The screen is 7 inches so yeah, it's pretty small but of course you aren't going to get a huge 30inch screen on a portable DVD player, lol.
It came with everything you could possibly need:

• Two foldable headphones
• Headrest mounting system
• car cabling kit
• remote control

The tote the DVD player comes with doubles as the headrest holder. We tried mounting it but Makenna is too short to be able to see the picture clearly so we just let her hold the dvd player. When it is mounted to the headrest it is pretty secure although I'd like it if a few extra straps were added just to be safe.

As you can see the dvd player is extremely thin and very lightweight so she is able to hold it without her legs starting to hurt from the weight on her.

One thing I don't like is that we've found it does not hold a charge. We've gone on a couple long trips with this so far and we can barely get through 1 Disney movie before it completely shuts off and we have to plug in the car charger.

I do love the sound quality though! You don't have to have it turned up too loud at all to hear it. Besides the fact that Makenna loves to wear the headphones Mommy & Daddy love the quietness in the car. The headphone are cushioned and very comfortable to wear and again, the sound doesn't have to be turned up loud to hear from them. I don't really like Makenna wearing headphones because it's too much direct sound in her ear so the fact that we don't have to blast the sound is great.
