back-to-school shopping @gap (giftcard giveaway!!)

By Jennifer (Double Duty Mommy) at 9:00 AM
This is officially my daughter's 2nd year in school (she's going into 1st grade) and the end of her first summer. It's back-to-school shopping time and I truely know why my parents always hated going shopping for us when we were younger. So many deals and advertising you never really know where to shop.

What makes my life easier is I always shop at the same places. One of those places is Gap. Even before back to school shopping was a must I still loved shopping this time of year because you can grab clothes at amazing prices and get the amazing quality that naturally comes with it.

Embroidered straight jeans (girl)

We went shopping a few days ago for Makenna but of course we can't shop at GapKids without leaving without clothes for Kendall also. I love the attention to detail Gap goes into with their jeans. The level of sophistication is more important then the price to me.

One thing I love is how Gap puts the outfits together for you so it's easy for Makenna to dress herself every morning before school while I take care of Kendall and get breakfast ready for the two of them. You can tell Gap puts a lot of thought and time into their collections and the design.

The current collection is called The Portobello Road Collection. Taking inpiration from London's own Portobello Road with an eclectic mix of colors, floral, and fun flirty ruffles (for the girls of course). Boys have funky plaids and Gap's signature denim shirts and jeans.

High-Posh Society

This will probably be her first outfit for 1st grade. She instantly fell in love with the skirt and shoes. The matching headband is the perfect touch and since our fall mornings tend to be a bit cooler the jacket is great, plus I love the flower rosette on it.

Boucle ruffle jacket

When I saw this jacket I also couldn't pass it up. It's the same wool fabric color and print as the skirt and it's fully lined so it isn't itchy! The comfortability of my girls in their clothes is big in my eyes. I can walk around in heels and my feet hate me later for it. But kids, they don't understand that beauty is pain

My kids look amazing each and every year in Gap. Oh and I must tell you about the sales!!!
GapKids and baby jeans will be on sale for just $15 from 8/5-8/17! I of course will be going back and I highly advise you to run down and get some too!
You can get their great jeans at a fraction of the price! If your kids are like Makenna then you won't need to worry about buying clothes till next school year. Makenna is so petite and she practically never grows, lol. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love the quality of Gap clothes. I don't have to worry about her shirts shrinking or holes in the knees of her jeans (with other brands I've had to go back not even half way through the school year I have to buy new clothes again). My kids can be a kids and stylish at the same time. I know I'm not just throwing my money down the drain.

Raindrops on Roses
For Kendall we got her some jeans since shes starting to walk and looks oh so cute in them, but also we grabbed this complete outfit! How runway and chic will she look in this?! Yes, this look is for a toddler! That dress - OMG lovee.
P.S. The hubby fell in love with this outfit simply for the name "Raindrops on Roses". Rose is Kendall's middle name :)

I cannot express to you the emotion I feel when I look at The Portobello Road Collection from Gap! Every piece is truely beautiful!

Gap is denim and it doesn't get any better then their 1969 jeans. Hey, I'm not in school right now but I had to buy some of these bad boys. It's all american made denim and you know I gotta support anything made in the US. A little secret I learned from my recent trip... wash your jeans inside out to keep the rich color in Gap jeans but also, don't wash them too often. The more lived-in, the better.

It's hard to do that with my daughter's jeans since they are so messy and I have no idea what goes on at school but for the hubby and I, we love the look of our jeans after a couple days.

So all this talk got me thinking... Let's give away a $25 giftcard to Gap!! How does that sound?? But seriously, do not wait until I send you the card to run over to Gap because from August 5th- August 17th they are having a $15 jean sale!! Go snag some amazing high quality jeans for your kids at this amazing price asap!
Here's the deal. I need you to Tweet and Facebook everyone about Gap and how amazing they are and of course that they can win a $25 gift card from me for some back-to-school shopping! Deal?! Awesome!
