Unless you live in a cave then you know it's football season. If your family is like mine every weekend revolves around football and who is playing. If one of John's teams are playing then we can't run errands or do family outings or we have to wait till the game is over. It's crazy.
We cook out, have lots of friends over, nap schedules are thrown off.
Yesterday was no different. We watched 3 different games and I took pictures of the whole thing and my pre-game trip to Murphy Express which I put up on Intersect!

Murphy USA (walk up outside store) and Murphy Express (inside store) is a great stop to shop at for propaine, gas, snacks and lots of drinks at amazing prices! I can feed the whole army of John's guy friends for super cheap.

My first stop was to Murphy Express. I needed to refill our propane tank, get some gas and of course stock up on snacks and drinks.

Can't beat these prices and deals! 

I picked up Pepsi products for 99cents each, 2-$2.22 Coke products and king size candy for 2-$2.50!! I love shopping at Murphy Express and Murphy USA for snacks and drinks especially when I need to pick up a lot.

 

Our 2nd game of the day was the Dallas and Lions game. The Lions were getting their butts kicked.

We had such a great time yesterday and you bet you will catch us doing the same thing every weekend!

#cheapgas at murphy usa!

If you haven't noticed I've been super busy in the days leading up to #BlogHer11. I have been trying to save money and get the best deal I can every where I go so I can have more spending money in San Diego. Don't tell my husband this though because as far as he knows, I just like to save money!

Stopping to get gas now a days is a hassle, who has the best prices, how long can we drive on E before the car will stop (lol)

Today we were super busy and had a lot of errands to run and once those were done we spent some family time at our favorite fun spot places. We needed to stop for some gas and some snacks first though and I instantly stopped at Murphy USA when I saw this sign:

Woo hoo! Save 10cents on gas?! Doesn't sound like much but we all know it adds up very quickly. I get so mad when gas raises just 2 cents over night. So being able to get cheap gas just for using a gift card? Why not!

So it was off to Wal-Mart to get a gift card! I found a ton of options but I stuck to the sports theme since the hubby loves everything sports.
Once you swip the card, just as you would a regular debit or credit card the discount comes off automatically and you see it clearly on the screen above the gas types.

Of course I couldn't leave without getting some snacks because Murphy USA always has amazing deals!

I was in the mood for some Gatorade and at this price I could not beat it. John loves Coke Zero so I was happy they were on sale also. Oh and right as I was ready to check out I saw the Skittles. At other places I usually can only buy one candy for this price! Jack pot!!

Murphy USA is a great place for gas and for snacks. Its a quick in and out type gas station since all the snacks and drinks are outside. Of course you won't find chocolate there but chips, soda, water, beef jerky are all great things to snack on on the go!
