DDM HGG -- Ella's Kitchen Review & Giveaway

Of course I always want to feed my kids the healthiest things I can so when I saw Ella's Kitchen Stage 1 food at Babies-R-Us I always wanted it to be my first choice for Kendall to have.

I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to review the 6 different packs Ella's Kitchen offers, plus the two smoothie flavors!

Choosing what to feed your baby is a big decision to make. Will you choose traditional jarred food or organic food? Maybe you will make your own baby food?  Whatever you decide, us Parents always have one thing in mind and that is providing the most nutritious food possible to our children. Ella’s Kitchen is a company that does just that!

All of the foods that Ella's Kitchen provides is 100% organic. Nothing but pureed fruits and vegetables have been added not even WATER!

The Stage 1 baby food range is a completely different concept in baby food, bring together minimally processed, carefully chosen organic natural fruits and vegetables including many superfoods and extremely convenient and easy packaging.

The handy little pouches are so simple to just pop in your purse or diaper bag and go. Not even a spoon or bowl is needed to feed your baby on the go. The re-screwable cap allows for safe use for up to 48 hours if refrigerated or a partially used, freshly opened pouch can be frozen in the freezer and used for up to 3 months. However, never feed your baby previously warmed up food.

Ella's Kitchen Smoothie Fruits only contain a blend of whole pureed fruits that have been sieved to take out any insoluble bits (skin, seeds, cores, etc).
They always avoid using concentrates in their products to keep the 'processing' down to the minimum required to ensure that the product is safe.

They have sourced all of the fruit from organic farms because reducing the number of pesticides we put into our children's bodies is a hugely important issue to them... and me.

If you are looking for reasons for eating organic food, then look no further then Ella's Kitchen!

Since we received our review package Ella's Kitchen has released 2 new flavors of their Stage 1 foods and 2 new flavors of their Smoothie. The newest flavors of foods: spinach, apples + rutabaga and butternut squash, carrots, apples + prunes. Smoothie flavors are: The Purple One (black currant, blueberry, apple and banana) & The Green One (apples, pears, bananas and kiwi fruits).

Speaking of the Smoothies, Makenna LOVES them, yes she's going to be 6 this month but so what... she's not allowed to have delicious smoothies? lol. She hasn't tried the two new flavors but The Red One (strawberries, raspberries, apples, and bananas ) is her absolute favorite. She heads straight for it whenever we go to Babies-R-Us. She says she likes The Yellow One (bananas, mangoes, apricots and apples) but I never see her wanting it so I just think she's too addicted to The Red One to care about any other flavor.

The Smoothies got their name from a child of course. It makes sense, the red smoothie is red so why give it a technical name? "The Red One" just fits, and the same goes for The Yellow One, The Purple One, & The Green One! :)

I LOVE everything about Ella's Kitchen and Kendall has absolutely loved every flavor combination we've given her.

We love the foods so much we went out and bought a ton more!

CONS:

The price! You are paying for truly organic food but for each pouch it can run you about $1.79 each and $1.39 each for the smoothies. Babies-R-Us is having a special right now 4 for $6.00 so we went and stocked up while we still could.
