DDM HGG -- V.Tech's 3-1 Learning Zebra Scooter Review

By Jennifer (Double Duty Mommy) at 12:38 AM
I'm here once again to tell you guys about another great VTech toy perfect for the holidays!

The VTech 3-in-1 Learning Zebra Scooter grows with your child as they learn colors, animals and destinations on the go! It easily converts from push walker to ride-on scooter in a matter of seconds. Kids can discover their wild side as they move with the zebra and explore new territory with the scooter’s walkie-talkie, compass and flashlight toys. The zebra’s mane features five light-up buttons that teach colors, animals and destinations. The scooter also features a fun horn button with a volumne control switch.
The Toy That Grows with Your Child
The 3-in-1 Learning Zebra Scooter is a lightweight plastic interactive toy that features a battery-powered mane with five brightly-colored buttons (two AA batteries are included). These buttons light-up in sync with voices and noises that encourage children to learn about colors and animals and begin to develop dexterity skills. The rolling zebra also comes with a basket of three interactive accessories including a flashlight, walkie-talkie, and compass, which can be used in conjunction with the light-up mane.
All necessary parts of the Zebra Scooter are included in the box and require only a small amount of effort to assemble using a Phillips screwdriver. Once the Zebra Scooter is fully assembled, the conversion from push-walker to sit-on scooter can be done easily by changing the position of the seat from an angled position to a horizontal seating position. It’s just as easy to convert from sit-on scooter to stand-on scooter: the seat flips up to become the scooter handle, and the storage compartment underneath becomes the floor runner.
Colorful indicators on the scooter provide guidance to indicate where releases and locks are located and informational diagrams are embossed directly on the body of the Zebra Scooter to provide additional cues for easy conversion.
Interactive Play Modes Make Learning Fun
The interactive play modes of the 3-in-1 Learning Zebra Scooter help to make learning fun and encourage the development of mental and physical abilities in young children. Brightly-colored lights and warm, uplifting songs and noises provide the enticement for children to begin exploring their world and learning about animals and colors.
Other features, such as the horn and smile buttons, six familiar children’s melodies, and two sing-along songs, encourage active play and the development of dexterity and listening skills by captivating the attention and imagination of young children.

CONS:
  • Handle for push-toy set up doesn’t extend over the rear wheels and may cause tripping
--Also, if you've read my review/giveaway post on the V. Tech V. Reader then I have great news for you! The new Learning Lodge Navigator is up and running! You can download six (6) FREE e-books in celebration of the launch! Learning Lodge allows you to also track your children’s achievement through a customized Progress Log which provides an overview of how your child is progressing through key learning curriculum, all of which are age-appropriate.

The retail value is about $44.99 and well worth it in my eyes! :)
