Organic is the way to go! [Organically Grown Review]

By Jennifer (Double Duty Mommy) at 12:51 PM 1 commented
For some of you, choosing organic is a way of life. You wouldn't buy anything else! For others... you may be still sceptical on the whole "green", "eco" living thing that everyone is doing.
Well listen to this, did you know that according to the Organic Exchange, over 456 million pounds of pesticides are applied onto conventional cotton each year?? Of which seven are on the Environmental Protection Agency’s list of the top ten pesticides which are known, probable, or likely carcinogens. Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, making it healthier for both the environment and the farmers. With products by ORGANICALLY GROWN, there is no need to compromise between your budget and your conscience.

Organically Grown has just released their new holiday line not too long ago and it's super cute and makes you want to cuddle with your kiddos even more!
Just look at the cute little penguins and polor bears on Kendall's outfit

This season, the collection includes soft and cuddly outfits for baby at great prices! The three-piece organic bodysuit sets are the perfect holiday gift, at only $20! Rounding out the line are gown, hat, and blanket sets, and a delightful variety of outfit sets for boys and girls.

I highly recommed both moms and dads to buy from Organically Grown! We have multiple outfits in our household from them and we're going to continue to be a valued customer.

All I want for Christmas

By Jennifer (Double Duty Mommy) at 6:01 PM 2 commented
There's a ton on my list. I very rarely buy anything for myself now a days so I guess I use Christmas as an excuse to get the things I want.

  • iPad
  • DSLR camera
  • Viva La Juicy (new Juicy Couture purfume)
  • earrings from Kay
  • boots!
  • puff jacket from Ralph Lauren
  • pink controller for the PS3
  • Kinect for xbox 360 with the Kinectamals game!
I also have been wanting a new corner TV stand in our bedroom. Of course this is not just a present for me but I'm really tired of the one we have.
I really like this one that's exclusive to CSNStores.com

Boon -- Potty Bench Review & Giveaway

By Jennifer (Double Duty Mommy) at 8:40 PM 343 commented
Leave it to boon to come up with yet another practical, functional and kid friendly product! I was asked to review and Potty Bench and of course I was thrilled.
I know there are tons of choices out there when it comes to a potty. You never really notice until you become a parent how many different versions of the same thing are on the market.
Singing and talking pottys though? Sorry, but not in this house. I definitely don't need Kendall getting distracted while I'm trying to teach her something that will save me from changing diapers.

I absolutely love the clean, modern look of boon's potty bench. It's a simple yet amazing potty training tool for you to have.
This potty is so easy to use, no crazy contraptions or things to attach, no batteries-nothing. Just a simple pull out drawer for sanitary clean-up and also comes with a removable soft deflector shield  for little boys. You can also keep the deflector shield attached at all times because when you close the lid the shield tucks inside the potty opening.
What I also love is that the potty has two side compartments that slide open. One side is big enough to hold a box of baby wipes (for those dirty jobs.. c'mon we all know kids don't do the best of job at wiping!) while the other side has a built in toilet paper roll holder. My other thing with the TP holder, just watch your kid because of course with the TP being so accessible, you never know if they will get in there and just unroll it all.

Scenario: Your baby is no longer a baby... he can go potty on the Big Boy potty! Also, you're not having any more kids.
What do you do with the potty now? Toss it? Give it away? No need! Boon has made this potty multi-functional so with the lid closed the potty is now a step-stool that can hold up to 300 pounds!!
And as you can see in the pictures below, it has definitely given Makenna a ton more space to stand on. Before she had to stand with her feet so close together, now she can stand a bit more comfortably.

I do want to point out that the potty is much larger then I thought it was. I guess I was a little naive and I was expecting a "normal" size potty, but when it arrived I was definitely surprised. We have a good size bathroom so it's no problem for us but I wouldn't say this is for someone in a tiny bathroom, unless you have somewhere to store it when it's not in use.

You can buy this potty in green or blue in various retail locations across USA and Canada.
It sells for just $34.99 and you get 2 products in one!

One lucky DDM reader will win the potty bench in the color of your choice!
