Oh Katy review and giveaway

Our next sponsor all started by a stay-at-home mom sewing her own diapers in her living room for her two babies in diapers. After selling said diapers to friends and family she started a company in 2010. Tuning 1 year old this past January Katie, the creator of KatyDid diapers made a company name change, added colors to their 4 diaper line up and inproved their diapers. They have settled into what you now know as Oh Katy. If you don't know what Oh Katy diapers are all about then I'm so excited to be telling you about them!

Oh Katy makes one size pocket diapers that come in 9 bright colors - perfect for anytime but especially now that it's spring and summer! Their mission is to convince the skeptics and the naysayers that reusable diapers are easy, fashionable and fun.

I was sent the Berry (pink) diaper to review and then shortly afterward I was lucky enough to be randomly selected on the Oh Katy Facebook page as a winner as well. Now having 2 diapers, I cannot wash these bad boys quick enough!

One of the things I first read about my Oh Katy diaper was the yes, it has a waterproof cover but it's not made with PUL, it's covered with TPU. So after some research I can tell you that TPU stands for Thermoplastic Polyurethane. TPU is a different form of lamination. TPU is simply the film part of PUL, it's not a type of PUL. To make PUL a TPU film is laminated to a fabric substrate, typically a polyester interlock. This method is not only functionally better, but eliminates MUCH of the harmful chemicals found in PUL. This method also means it will biodegrade more quickly if it does end up in a landfill someday! So what does this mean for Oh Katy diapers? Well it means it will remain flexible, stretchy, and crunch-free so you will always get a trim fit. Plus, using TPU makes for a softer diaper!

But enough of that, I just want to tell you why I love these diapers.
The leg gussets are extremely soft and gentle. They never leave marks on Kendall's chunky thighs. To get the perfect fit there are two snaps down the front so you can snap for a Small or Medium fit, for a Large just leave it unsnapped.
The inside is a micro-fleece inner layer that is super soft and wick the moisture away from baby's booty. When you pair that with their unique patented front-opening pocket design you will have a insert that stays in place plus a very dry baby.

If you have a newborn or a smaller baby you will love their newborn hip snaps. These snaps help "wing droop" and give you a snug fit.
I think idea is so cleaver and when (if) I have another baby I'll definitely be using these diapers on him/her.

Each diaper comes with two inserts; 1 large adjustable insert that comes with 2 rows of snaps and 1 newborn insert that can also be used as a doubler for those heavy wetters like Kendall. One thing I must mention is how I love how the inserts are labeled because this mama has to have her Kendall's inserts going into the correct diaper.

It sounds so silly but one of my favorite features is one that I can barely find. These diapers have a unique wrap-and-snap feature that allows you to wrap up your diaper and snap it shut, similar to a disposable diaper. You can store your soiled diapers when you're out without the need of a waterproof bag!
Like I said, I know it sounds crazy but it's one of my favorite features.

I highly, highly recommend Oh Katy cloth diapers and so does Kendall's booty! We love these diapers for how soft they are in all areas, including the elastic area around the legs and waist.
