This might be one of the most exciting reviews I've gotten the chance to do! Have you ever heard of Guidecraft? I only learned of them recently and I wish I would have known of this wonderful company sooner! They have some of the most educating and beautiful products. Guidecraft carries childrens furniture and toys all made from wood!

I received both the "Pastel Dress-Up Carousel" & "Princess Deluxe Rocking Chair" and I was instantly impressed with how carefully packaged everything was! Each piece was individually wrapped and protected from scratches that could happen in the shipping process. All the wood was heavy and sturdy so I know it'll hold up to anything a 5 year old can do to it.









John was at work so I put together the rocking chair and I thought it was going to take me forever, but after seeing the EASY directions it only took me about 10 minutes to put together!! The graphics are so beautifully done and the painting in general is perfect. I didn't notice one drip of paint color on a piece where it wasn't supposed to be.  But again, once the chair was put together I knew Makenna couldn't ruin this rocking chair... at least unless she REALLY tried. It is made so well and the bolts are in just the right spots to insure it stays together. The brown heart spaces are for us to put pictures in but when I took these pictures I hadn't put them in yet as you can tell.

Makenna has not left this chair for one second since we've had it. And some how it's like magic because when she sits in it and we put a movie on she is in a trance and never moves the whole time! Lol. Maybe it's the comfortable padded chair cover or that it's "her" chair, but either way, we love the quietness when a movie is on!
Both these items I had shipped to my parents house (it's just easier this way...) so when it came to the carousel I needed a little help, so thankfully I had my dad there to help! It's definitely a two person job for sure. So here's a picture of my dad trying to the cubby areas in once I helped hold the sides up so he could assemble that part of it.
Finally my husband came over and he started helping finish the cubby areas of the carousel! Although we LOVE the end result the instructions weren't as easy to read like they were with the rocking chair. It did take us longer then maybe it should have (3 hours and 45 minutes to be exact) but we did it.

It stands 4 ft high so it's just right for Makenna to reach every hook and compartment. One side has 9 pegs to hang her pretty dress up dresses on and 2 shelves for her high heels, the opposite side has 1 shelf and 2 cubby areas for her to put her tiaras, hats, make up kits and jewelery in, plus more shelves for shoes! Both sides of the carousel have mirrors on it as well so from every angle she can see her pretty self. And of course it spins so even though we have it in the corner of her room she can turn it to reach all sides!!



Makenna is loving both items so much but also I need to tell you about all the other amazing products Guidecraft carries!! They have adorable doll furniture that any little girl would love, step up stools that have a storage area, tables and chairs, wooden toys, toy boxes and even sports furniture like coat racks and table lamps!! I am telling you right now that I know you will not be disappointed in anything you get from Guidecraft by the quality or selection of items they offer! They definitely know what they are doing when making their products built to last for kids of all ages.

Guidecraft even has their very own blog so you can follow anything and everything Guidecraft. It's a great way to stay up to date on new products, reviews, and other giveaways!!!
