This was a great giveaway so thank you for all that entered and a huge Thank You to Simplisse for sponsoring it!

-----------------------------------------------------------

I'm so excited to tell all you breastfeeding moms about Simplisse and their *NEW* Double Electric Breastfeeding Companion! Just watch the demo video on their site and I'm sure your breasts will feel better already!

Like all the products made by Simplisse, the Double Electric Breast pump was designed by lactation consultants and moms to feel like breastfeeding. The new Gentle Compression Technology is designed to help minimize tugging and pinching while the super-Soft BabyFace™ Flexible Breastcups conform to mom’s breast and naturally move with mom while expressing,. All that together makes the inner and outer breastcups work together to mimic baby’s tongue and suckling motions, to encourage Let-Down!

Sound amazing all ready? Well, it is!

As you all may know by now, I exclusively use a breast pump. Our choice so please don't judge!
Anyway, I love giving my daughter all the precious milk she needs but I dread pumping! Who wants to knowingly sit down for torturous pain for 15-25 minutes every 2 hours?! Since Kendall was only hours old I've been using an Ameda hospital grade pump. While it's amazing at expressing every last drop of milk from my body, it's extremely painful. I recently discovered the sides of my left nipple was actually bleeding so I was thrilled I wouldn't have to use this devil pump ever again!!
((All parts that comes in the box.))
Instruction Manual
Instructional DVD
Wet bag for used parts
Breast pads
Milk Storage bags
4 -3oz collection bottles w/ lids
Power cord
Air tubing
2 bottle stands
2 breast cups
Microfiber Cooler pack
2 - Gel ice packs
((1 pump assembled // 1 pump disassembled))
There are 7 parts (per side) to clean.

When I started using the Simplisse electric pump, I wasn't even sure I was doing it right. I couldn't feel a thing. It took a while but after waiting about 6 minutes I finally started seeing milk drop down into the bottle. I spoke to the handy Simplisse helpers on my concern and they advised me that because I've been using a traditional pump, it may take some time for my breasts to adjust to a whole new kind of suction, especially since I don't actually breastfeed, so my breasts aren't used to the type of suction that the Simplisse pump provides.

She was right, now that I've been using the pump for about a month now, I've found the milk starts dropping a little bit quicker. I still have some issues as far as how long I have to sit there and get enough milk but it's so worth it (sometimes). With my old pump I would get about 8oz in 15 minutes now I get about 5.5oz in the same time frame. I pump more frequently so I don't lose my supply but I just wish I could get the same amount of milk in the same (or less) time as before.

The suction is AH-MAZING though so let's talk about that for a bit. On my Ameda pump the hard, plastic shields left my nipples raw. And I typically struggled to find the best combination to get the most milk with less pain. The Simplisse pump is so gentle and comfortable, you don't feel the tug & pull effect like most pumps have. Like I said before, I wasn't even sure I had it on correctly or that it was working till I saw the milk begin to drop down.
 ((So cute!))
((Special zippered section especially for the pump))

I also, LOOOVE the portable bag the pump comes in. It looks like a real tote bag so no one will ever know that you're carrying around a breast pump! The Simplisse pump is also 10x's smaller then my pump which is great because my old one was eating up all the space on my end table.

((are you seeing the amazing difference in size here?!?))
((HOLY COW Batman... huge size difference, huh?!))
Yes, that green monster was on my end table for 3 1/2 months!
PROS:
  • Comfortable
  • Easy to assemble
  • Small & portable
CONS:
  • LOUD! It is soooo loud compared to my Ameda.
  • Bulky. I had a hard time fitting it onto my hands-free pumping bra. After some effort I got the bra around the cups though.
  • Adjustment period. It's been a month and I'm still not getting the same amount of milk as I used to get. I know it may take some time for your breasts to adjust to a new pump, but I wish it didn't take this long!
