baby proofing with summer infant - review and giveaway

Having a very active baby has definitely put some stress on us. Kendall is always on the move, getting into the dog food and water dish, taking all the DVD's out and anything we have on the bedroom and front room end tables is hers according to her. One way we've been able to keep Kendall safe when we're doing projects or cleaning is with a baby gate. John wasn't really up to the idea when Summer Infant first sent us the Stylish and Secure Extra Tall Baby Gate because he said it was "baby jail" but he has warmed up to the idea now.

Of course Summer Infant is no stranger to DDM. We love their products and have never had a problem with anything.

What I love about this gate is that it's is pressure-mounted so we don't have to screw anything into the walls that leave ugly holes later. Also, when we want to move it from room to room it takes just minutes.

It's also fully adjustable to fit openings from 28” to 48” wide and is 36” tall so you can use it even when your baby is an older toddler and they still won't be able to climb over it... hopefully, lol.

The Stylish&Secure baby gate also has a hinged swinging door that opens easily in either direction with one hand but also swings closed automatically.

To open the gate it's pretty easy. You push a sliding button to the side, lift and push the gate. It took us a while to get the hang of it but now it's pretty easy to do but I personally can't do it with one hand.

Another great feature is that the gate is approved to be used at the top or bottom of the stairs with included hardware to secure it in place!!

We love this gate and because it's has a perfect metal tone it complements the rest of the decor in the house. Getting more of these is a must and even though it's about $80 to purchase I think it's a great buy since it keeps baby safe. Safety is always the most important thing to be no matter what the cost!
