a flashmob was born at blogher11

By Jennifer (Double Duty Mommy) at 1:39 PM

BlogHer11 in itself deserves it's own recap post but this is not about BlogHer. Especially because I need to talk about the Pink Berry served at and the HEX Bugs table at The Big Toy Book’s Sweet Suite!
So this post is about how a large group of bloggers went from scared and nervous to happy and crying in about 3 minutes.

Theresa from Rock on Mommies and Mary from the Mama Mary Show had this crazy thought of putting together a Flash Mob at BlogHer weeks ago. But how and when? Well after they then put in hours and hours of time choreographing, coordinating, and then gathering a whole bunch of bloggers into joining it was final. We then dubbed our mob #OperationGlory and we stayed connected through a private Facebook group!

Some more then others put in hours of their own practicing the moves, watching the USteam and YouTube videos over and over again to get the moves down.
We were then split into groups and we all knew what part we needed to jump in at.

Friday at Noon the Sails Pavilion at the San Diego Convention Center started to fill up and we knew it was almost time. 12:15pm exactly "Edge Of Glory" by Lady Gaga started playing over the sound system and Theresa went into the middle of the lunch room all by herself and started to dance (brave woman!!). We all then joined in at our parts and in the end created one big mob of over 100 women in the center of the room.

It was amazing, it was inspiring and like I said we all cried afterward. The emotion of being in something so cool was just way too overwhelming.

Being in the now famous BlogHer11 flashmob was everything I thought it was going to be and more. I am now forever bonded with all these amazing women.
Watch the video Mary's husband made (And never mind how stupid I look in the beginning when we are trying to tell him to move to the other side of the room, lmao)
