A lot of prep-work went into for BlogHer but even some things are last minute.

Of course packing is involved - duh. Packing was a challenge but I did it, pretty quickly I might add. I am actually questioning if I packed the right clothes for the trip but I guess I have no choice now since I am typing this while sitting on the plane. :)

Oh and look at my pretty shoes and toesies I will be sporting for the plane ride and at a couple BlogHer11 parties. Wooo, sexiness huh. hehe.

On my way to the airport I decided to stop at Murphy USA to grab some snacks for the flight. Who wants to go to the airport and spend a crazy amount of money just because you are getting it at the airport? Not this girl, that's for sure.

I saw some amazing deals on Pepsi products but then I remembered that airport security is crazy about liquids now a days so I decided I would avoid that hassle all together and just stick with edible snacks.
Beef jerky, Pringles, and Planters nuts were all my radar. Easy to snack on, not too messy that was my idea of a great time.

Security still kinda gave me a hard time but since everything was closed I was in the clear and ready to board my flight for my amazing vacation work trip.
Once I was through security I was then force to pay an arm and a leg at the market in the termanal for a couple drinks. I was also shocked to learn that my airline doesn't take cash anymore for the drinks and snacks they offer, such crap.

countdown to #blogher11

So the past few days have been crazy since I found out I was for sure going to BlogHer!!! Can I say that again? I'M GOING TO BLOGHER11 <-- I love the sound of that.

I've written up some posts and have them scheduled so that's one thing off my back, slightly. I still have more to write and schedule but I feel better some are done.
Yesterday I went to Plato's Closet trying to sell some of my old clothes. Apparently they lie when they say they want gently used because my impression is that they want BRAND NEW. They didn't buy one single thing from me and I brought well over 50 pieces of Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister (yes only those two brands) clothes. The reason? The tags! Yep, the tags "looked worn"! I was like, wtf, of course, they've been washed and A&F labels are thin tags so they instantly curl up after wearing them once.

So needless to say I put back the clothes I was going to purchase from them, lol.

Ha, take that.

On John's next day off we're going shopping for some better outdoor furniture. I get bored very easily with outdoor furniture and when I see something better I have to get it. We need to look for some cheap Adirondack chairs. They remind me of the beach and I instantly feel like I'm sitting pool side when I sit in one.

Awww bliss.

John suggested getting some benches. Maybe a small picnic bench for the girls and a park style bench so we can sit outside together. Definitely need to get a cushion though because they tend to be wood and I don't need my behind falling asleep while I'm trying to be comfy.

Today I got my BlogHer schedule together. I'm pretty sure I have it figured out but I'm sure up to the last second there will be some tweaking and changes made. I tried not to over schedule and I think I'll have plenty of time to walk around and check out all the booths.

The count down has begun and I'm so excited to meet everyone and make new friends!

im going! -- #blogher11

So I am still in disbelief, I'm going to blogher! I'm so excited and although I may not have a ton to do before I leave, my days definitely will not be boring.
My baby turns 1 in just 16 short days. I'm shocked by this and I am still wondering how this happened. Let me tell you though... we have NOTHING planned! How horrible is that? I wanted her birthday to be so perfect but so much has gotten in the way of planning her party. I went and purchased a few things yesterday and today though so I think we will be ok.

Before blogher I need to:
- post a million things. I have so many reviews and giveaways I need to get up along with other posts I planned on writing.

- go shopping. This wasnt my initial plan but I hear you have to dress up at certain events there and I definitely don't have to be the odd one out in my jeans and shirt. I heard I need to pack some comfy shoes so I have been shopping at Havaianas. They have some really cute flats and womens flip flops so I think it would be a good idea to bring some of those. While I'm was at it I saw some super cute kids flip flops so I might as well get the girls some shoes too, we know girls can never have enough shoes :)

- organize the garage and give away Kendall's baby gear no longer in use. Why before blogher? Because the garage is out of control and it has to be done or else I am going to have a heart attack.

- teach DH the step by step of cloth diaper use. I am so scared DH is going to run out and get some Pampers as soon as I leave so I really need to teach him exactly how to put them on Kendall. Also a big thing is how to wash and the "what not to do" type things. Maybe I will type and print a "how to wash" and tape it above the washer and dryer for him?

- Secure a sponsor. I realize it's close to the event date but having a sponsor would be amazing.
